Abstract

In the phytochemistry study make from Solanum seaforthianum Andr., were isolated and identified four steroidal compounds: Solasodine, Solanocapsine, Solanoforthine and O-23-Methyl solanocapsine. The identification of these compounds was carried out by spectroscopic data 1H, 13C NMR, IR and MS and direct comparison with authenticable specimen.

Keywords: Solanaceae, Solanum seaforthianum Andr., steroidal alkaloids.
