Abstract

The purpose of the present report is to evaluate the physicochemical and planktonic characteristics of the reservoirs Faccha Salve, Mica, Sucus Mogotes which the Empresa Pública Metropolitana de Agua potable y Saneamiento de Quito, operates to supply drinking water to the District Metropolitan of Quito.
To understand the dynamics of spatial, temporal and vertical water quality, plankton community present, the values of chlorophyll aand nutrients that lets us know their trophic status.
Key words: nutrients, spatial variability, temporal variability, physico-chemical variables.
