Abstract

The objective of this study was to design a hydraulic system of a house-room for domestic water reuse using selection of streams to treat and different filters materials in accordance with the official rules. We designed the hydraulic system, on the basis of engineering and in accordance with the complementary standards for hydraulic installations and facilities for design and execution of works. Autodesk Homestyler® computer program was used to simulate the design of the hydraulic system.  It was found that the streams for reuse selected based on ease of treatment composition were water wash cycle and rainwater, which allowed  savings of 40% of the water consumed. We used different filters materials, such as: activated carbon, shell egg, tezontle, zeolite, coffee pulp, orange peel, wood, corn husks. Hydraulic sizing was performed by a centrifugal pump ½ Hp.

Keywords: hydraulic system, dimensioning, residual water.
