The general chemistry as contribution to agricultural engineer's professional formation

Abstract

The formation of a competent agronomist is one of the key objectives for the Universities in Cuba at the present time, what contributes to improve the quality and efficiency of the agricultural productions. This paper presents a conception to develop the labor formation from the first year of the career starting from the potentialities that General Chemistry offers. From the analysis of the topics in the subject and their potentialities to relate them with the agriculture affairs required by the  formation of the agronomist, a methodology is presented that favors the professional formation process from all kind of lessons. This methodology allowed to achieve significant advances in the development of students abilities, its motivation toward the career and the contribution to an appropriate professional formation.
