Physico-chemical characterization of extracts of Spondias mombin L.

Abstract

Spondas mombin L. is a tree with many scientific reports about the medicinal properties , they are near related wiht the phytochemical composition of this plant but the physical chemistry description of the watery and ethanolic extracts obtained from the roots , stems and leaves with maceration methods for 48 hours have not been done up to date.In the present work the organoleptic properties and physical chemistry paramenters like pH, density, relative viscosity, DRYING weight , and percentage of humidity were determined.They are differences between the watery and ethanolic extracts because of the substances dissolved , wich are present in both extracts but the solubility of them is not the same.
