Abstract

This paper aims to to validate by checking of anthrone colorimetric method to quantify rhamnolipids in microbial culture medium. Linearity, precision, accuracy, limits of detection and quantitation and robustness: This parameters were determined. It was demonstrated that the assay is linear and accurate in the range of 10-70 µg/mL of carbohydrates, coefficients lower than 3% variation for repeatability were obtained, and were found to have a detection limit equal to 1,63 mg / mL and a limit of quantification of 5,45 g / mL. It was found that the method is robust against variations in temperature and heating time as well as the amount of reagent added to the samples.
